Visible in the Menu Bar at the top of the page is the Add Pad menu item.
Clicking on the Add Pad menu item will display the following Add Pad dialogue box
For a regular Bed Sensor Pad (BSP), select "Ensign Pad". For the Ensign Bed Sensor Pad With Air Mattress and Internal Pressure Compensator, select "Ensign Mattress".
The user can enter a New Pad ID by clicking in the New Pad ID text box and typing the ID number of the new Bed Sensor Pad (BSP). This ID number has two locations: on the white Electronics Module located inside the pouch of the BSP and on the outside of the box the BSP came in.
It is not necessary at this stage to Allocate the New Pad ID to a bed. This can be done in Pad Management under Unallocated Pads if preferred.
If the user wants to Allocate the New Pad ID to a bed, then clicking on the Select Bed drop-down box will display a list of all the available beds in the facility (available beds are those that have not already had a BSP allocated to them).
Select the required bed and click on Save to save changes.
