11.3. Disability Descriptions

The default descriptions of Disability Levels (editable) are sourced from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
 
 
 
Overwrite the text in any box then click Update Descriptions to change any descriptions as per your facility's needs.
The default descriptions are as follows:
 
 
Disability Level
Description
None
The person needs no help and has no difficulty with any core activity task (Communication / Mobility / Self-care).
Low Disability
The person needs no help and has no difficulty with any core activity tasks (Communication / Mobility / Self-care) but:  1. Use aids and equipment.  2. Cannot easily walk 200 meters.  3. Cannot walk up and down stairs without a handrail.  4. Cannot easily bend to pick up an object from the floor.
Moderate Disability
The person needs no help but has difficulty with a core activity task (Communication / Mobility / Self-care).
Severe Disability
The person needs help with a core activity task (Communication / Mobility / Self-care).
Profound Disability
The person is unable to do, or always needs help with, a core activity task (Communication / Mobility / Self-care).
